Intermediate Designer
We’re looking for a talented and passionate intermediate-level designer who loves big-picture conceptual thinking but also thrives on crafting the details.

Bamff uses design to transform ideas into community-inspiring brands. As a team, we are curious, thoughtful, and a little bit weird. We’re passionate about food, music, culture, typography, and ice cream, which gets its own category.
Position details
This is a full-time position, Monday – Thursday. Starting immediately.
This role entails
  • Developing brand identities, packaging, and websites from concept to execution.
  • Presenting and rationalizing creative work internally and externally.
  • Leading projects, including understanding time and budget constraints.
  • Confidently driving conversations around design and constructively challenging briefs and feedback.
  • Collaborate with photography, illustration, and copywriting partners.
  • Liaise with printing, signage, packaging and other production vendors.
  • Assisting in production work, including preparing and delivering print-ready files.
  • File management and organization.
  • Staying up to date with design vernacular and technology.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in a design studio/agency environment.
  • BFA / BDes would be ideal.
  • Able to execute an idea across multiple tactics, digital and print.
  • Highly proficient in the principles of typography, layout, colour, and basic UX.
  • Understanding of print and printing methods.
  • Fluency in Adobe AI, PS, INDD, Figma, and unfortunately, Zoom.
  • Animation, illustration, or copywriting chops would be considered an asset.
Requirements
  • Must be able to commute to our office in Inglewood, Calgary.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.
  • We have flexible working hours, but generally expect you to be available from 10 am – 4 pm Monday through Thursday.
Salary & benefits
  • Salary range: $55,000 – 75,000, depending on experience.
  • 4-day work week.
  • A health spending account.
  • 15 days paid vacation.
  • Flex days to work from home (but must be located in Calgary).
